Oxidized bitumen can be produced by putting vacuum residue under the pressure and temperature between 200-300 centigrade degree. The result of oxidation hydrogen atoms of bitumen with oxygen of air lead to hydrocarbon polymerization reaction. The obtained bitumen after this process has lower penetration and higher softening point than the primary bitumen

10 and It`s softening point is 90 centigrade. The main applications of Oxidized bitumen 90/10 are bitumen coating, waterproof membrane, insulation and isolation industries and in road construction and asphalt paving.
