AR 4000 Grade

Viscosity grade bitumen asphalt can be applied on original asphalt which is  AC (asphalt cement) grades or aged residue AR(aged residue) grades.

AC grades indicated viscosity at 60 °C actually the number after AC showed 0.01 absolute viscosity in poises at 60 °C. For instance, AC-5 means the bituminous asphalt cement has viscosity of 500 poises at 60°C. The number after AR indicated viscosity in poises at 60 °C. Common AR viscosity grades asphalt cement are AR 1000, AR 2000, AR 4000, AR 8000. AR grades undergo processes in order to simulated the natural conditions.
